Insurance Coverage
We accept many major health insurances around South Coast Massachusetts and New England. Most insurances cover nutrition visits, but just so you know the exact benefits of your plan to avoid any surprises, it is highly recommended that you contact your insurance company.
Call your insurance company before your first visit and ask the following questions:
- Does my plan cover nutrition visits? It can be helpful to give them the ‘code’ we will use which is: 97803 and 97802
- Is there a limit on the number of visits I can have per year?
- Do I need to have a specific diagnosis to receive nutrition benefits? If so, ask them which diagnoses they will accept
- Do I have a co-pay for visits?
If you have a deductible on your insurance plan, also ask; Will my nutrition visits be applied to my deductible or exempt from my deductible?
If you have and HMO plan or typically require referrals, also ask: Do I need a referral?
